Moss Control
Moss does not have roots, it obtains its nutrients from the moisture sitting on the soil. Moss removal also requires controlling the conditions as well as the moss growth. This is something that standard moss removal will not achieve. This means moss returns time and time again.
Moss is one of the worst problems facing most lawns.
Dead Moss
Dead Moss needs to be raked and removed from your lawn. This may require scarifying or verti cutting to remove it from the lawn.
Doing this will leave the lawn looking bare and will then need to be treated with possible over seeding and top dressing to help it recover.
Is Moss a Weed?
Moss is not a weed. It does not put down roots but spreads across any damp surface. Moss is spread by air borne spores in the spring and autumn and will thrive and spread across your lawn if left untreated.
